DAUGHTERS OF THE KING

Before we are our parents daughters, we are God's daughters. Before we are anything, we are his daughters. Many of us believe in God, we go to church, maybe we read our scripture, we pray. 

But our relationship is weak. 

Or maybe we don't do any of that, but still find ourselves feeling the call to come home but we aren't sure yet.

We have forgotten how loved we are. How valuable we are. And how loving he is. 

We make idols of our men, our money, our jobs, our friends, our fame, or even what we do in his name. 

We cannot feel him, We cannot hear him. We do not know him. 

We do not know what it feels like in our body to be held by him, supported and loved. 

Reducing ourselves to self-sourcing when the ultimate source wants nothing but to provide for us and for us to feel the fullness of his love.  To seek him above all else.

We spend a lifetime seeking connection, love, understanding, belonging. Many of us were willing to turn anywhere but to him. 

To fully be in our identity as his daughter, we must be willing to shed all the identities we have that are false. Letting go of all that is not truth.

Our admission that there is a source, and we are not it can feel terrifying until we can experience the deep rest on the other side. 

It requires our submission. 

A word that has been dirtied and twisted by society. 

Our world telling us that submission means the same as oppression. That we are not free, and that it's safer and better to do everything ourselves. 

It's all a terrible lie. 

When we know the truth, there is nothing that will ever change our mind. 

Restoring our father-daughter relationship with God brings us back home to the Kingdom and our rightful inheritance of all the promises God made us. 

Women wanting reclaim their daughterhood; move through church hurt, false perceptions of who God as the father is, how to hear him, how to feel him, how to access all the feelings, needs, wants and desires of your heart and how to express them;  these are all the things that God placed there when you were created, and it's all there waiting for you.
